Pandora for the BlackBerry has been updated from version 1.1.2 to version 1.1.2.1. As you can tell from the build number, this is a minor update and no change log has been provided. Some users including myself have noticed a slight increase in speed and the last few seconds of songs are not cutting off for most users anymore.

So while all the BlackBerry Tour owners are sitting around waiting for an official OS 5 to release for their device, Verizon Wireless surprised everyone today and released another OS 4.7.1 build. Now it isn't all bad as this is a decent build, it's just not the build that Tour owners were hoping for. I managed to snag the change log file from a friend of mine, so while your downloading the OS at the link below, be sure to check out the change list!

Another Facebook update tonight for all you social networking addicts! Not a major upgrade this time, just a small step to version 1.7.0.22 from the previous version 1.7.0.18. Nothing major, just seems to be a little more polished, and a littl quicker all round. So what are you waiting for? Go grab a copy.

Ever have a time that you just didn't know what you wanted to eat or couldn't come to a consensus with a group of friends? Then we have the app for you. The UrbanSpoon app that was famous on the iPhone is now available on your BlackBerry thanks to the guys at Xtreme Labs. With the click of the space bar (or a simple shake if you have a Storm or Storm2) will start the wheels spinning. Not happy with the choice, just click or shake it once more. The Urbanspoon app has many different options that will help you find just the right restaurant. One of which is the ability to select any of the lock icons to lock the reel to a specific neighborhood, cuisine and/or price that you're heart desires. Urbanspoon also lets you search and browse restaurants, and uses your current location to identify the restaurants nearest to you. Why wait any longer, get the Urbanspoon app for your BlackBerry today!

The ultimate system utility app for the BlackBerry has just got better. MeterBerry has finally been updated today to work with the 5.0 OS. Now everybody can enjoy their favorite battery and memory logging app once again. For those that previous purchased the app, you will need to purchase the FREE upgrade to the 2.0.2 build. The reason for this is that the app now requires a license key in order to work. You will also need to delete the previous build off of your device before installing the latest.
The changes in the 2.0.2 build are:
• compatible with OS 5.0
• license key required
• customizable icon colors
• ability to add notes to the logs
• clear logs on startup option

If you are a Twitter user you may have seen twitter updates today "via Vodafone Update". Just what is Vodafone Update? Well it's actually an official Twitter and Facebook application from Vodafone. It's not the best Twitter app out there, but it's not a bad start, and would be good for someone who only uses twitter every now and then. Here's what it can do for you:
Vodafone says the software only works with the BlackBerry Bold & Curve 2 devices, but having tested it on my Storm 2 9550 I am sure it will work on most devices. Try it and let us know!

So if you've been enjoying your new Storm2 like I have, you will no doubt have run into a problem when trying to install some programs OTA. Most the time I would try I would get a dreaded "907 Invalid COD" error message. Well I figured this was an OS glitch, but I got to the bottom of it last night.
Basically you have to disable the WiFi in order to install many OTA programs! With the wifi enabled, you get the 907 error, with the wifi disabled, the OTA will install just fine.Let me know if you have the same problem.
This is obviously an error on RIM's end when it comes to the COD installation process. I suspect that the phones security settings are not allowing the wifi path for the cod file. I sure hope we get an update soon to fix this annoyance!

Do you ever wish you could see a list of all running programs a processes on your BlackBerry like you can on your windows PC? How cool would it be to see a list, find a problem process, and remove it? Well that's exactly what Kisses from ZenConsult Technology Consulting allows you to do.
Kisses is decribed as "Kisses detects and displays any hidden programs or processes that are on your BlackBerry handheld. It can be used to detect spyware that hides itself from view." It's supported on the following devices, and best of all, it's free!
They say it should work fine on the following devices also, and I can tell you it works fine on my Stom2 9550:

The BlackBerry Storm2 has been a highly anticipated phone since the release of the first Touch Screen BlackBerry this time last year, the BlackBerry Storm. The new device hit the streets yesterday, and I decided I would share my thoughts on my first 24 Hours with an official release device with you all.
So let’s start with a quick overview of what has changed on this device compared to its predecessor the Storm:
Revised SurePress – The old SurePress screen system has been replaced with a totally different system. The single button on the old Storm has been replaced with 4 buttons beneath the screen on the new Storm2. But there is more magic to the screen. RIM has added Haptic Feedback to the screen using Piezo technology. But we’ll get to that later.
More memory – The new Storm has double the memory compared to the old device. It has double the RAM, double the Application Flash, double the internal storage and double the size SD Card out of the box.
WiFi – Finally RIM and Verizon Wireless agreed to put WiFi in a Verizon BlackBerry. This is very good news for all CDMA BlackBerry users!
Physical Buttons - The 4 physical buttons at the bottom of the screen have been replaced with touch sensitive buttons.

This was out yesterday, but I didn't get a chance to see it until last night. It's Verizon's new commercial for the Storm2. It's actually a pretty good commercial. Verizon has really been stepping up with the advertising lately. But it does make me wish they had started running this commercial before the device was released! A little hype never hurt anyone... I suspect I know the answer though, Verizon was so nervous after the original Storm1 launch last year, that they did not want to hype up the device. Rather they want to device to sell itself.
