Official: BlackBerry Bold 9700 OS 5.0.0.743 by Rogers

Well as far as Operating Systems go the 9700's seem to have a very solid base to them (not being biased or anything lol). Rogers have let loose this official version for its users to upgrade their devices but if you want to try it out for yourself download it remove the vendor.xml file, install and away you go. Be sure to leave some comments to let others know what you think about it.

I tried the last .743 release (EastAsia or something) and it didn't seem very stable for me. Erratic signal strength, laggy typing everywhere, wouldn't sync my gmail contacts etc. I went down to .656 and was much improved.

Now (since I'm with Rogers) I'm giving this one a try. Installed it last night...seems good so far, gmail contacts synced (sunk?) solid 5 bar 3G everywhere. Will be able to comment on typing/battery etc later.
